Scratch Page

Welcome

We are the Swindon Scratch Choir - a community choir for Swindon.

Our repertoire is varied - from Beatles, Tamla Motown, mysterious Russian songs to African chants and Forties swing.   The only instruments we use are our voices, usually singing in three or four part harmony.

We generally meet once a fortnight at Lower Shaw Farm, West Swindon, under the leadership of our mentors Linda, Martin, Kate and Fiona.   We have no auditions or age restrictions and ability to read music is not necessary - we learn by repetition.   We meet purely to enjoying singing together.

More detailed information about us can be found on the   FAQs   page.

Due to a rise in membership we are sorry to announce that we are not currently accepting new members.   If you think you might like to join us in the future please contact us and we will put you on a waiting list.   In the meantime you can try our 'taster' sessions - Up To Scratch - which will be an ideal way to meet us and see how we operate.   The autumn UTS sessions are to be held at the GW Hotel in Station Road, Swindon 7.30pm-9.30pm on Mondays 13th October and 8th December 2008.   Please send an   e:mail   if you have any questions about us or to be put on our mailing list.
